RANT START

Not for nothing, but why does everyone have to write a post about a Facebook deal, post it on Facebook for everyone to see, then have their fans/followers/ whathaveyou go to their blog, click on a link, come back to Facebook, and hope the deal is still available?

Sure, write the post, but if you are on Facebook updating why not have a direct link when it’s time-sensitive in nature?

Do you really want to spread the word about the deal or your blog?

I appreciate others finding and sharing all these great offers. I thank them often with comments, blog posts, tweets, sharing on Facebook, etc.

BUT…

Couldn’t these same great sites share these Facebook offers on Facebook with a link to the Facebook fan page? Would it hurt their bottom line that much?

Has goodwill become obsolete in blogging?

AND IF THEY CAN’T…

Would it be too much to ask that they have a site which might load in this century so I could get to their site, get the post loaded, find the link back to Facebook, click the link, and maybe have enough time to get in on the great deal? Pretty please?

I’m guilty, too

Of a slow-loading site.

Yet, I rarely post something that is going on RIGHT NOW and ask you to come see my post then it will tell you where to go from there. If I see something time sensitive – RIGHT NOW – I link directly to it from wherever I am. But that is just how I am.

Is this self-serving behavior? Does every single deal updated on Facebook [or Twitter] have to point back to one’s blog/webpage? Do I not get this either?

Give it to me straight. I can handle it.

I noticed that my images want to spring to full size instead of their lovely minimized formats I requested. I am working on this, but not tonight. Tomorrow, possibly.

I do like this new format and am hoping I can fix that which needs fixing or it will be “off with its head!”

Seriously, I was up until 3:00 am, yes, AM working on this. I had it fixed and it works – on my test blog! Grrrrr! I move to install on my live blog and nothing, nada, zip. I have compared both pages and cannot find what is missing. Why does it work on one and not the other?

I have gone to the actual site, but it is in Spanish! Translation sites are not helping here either. It is beginning to go beyond frustrating. What’s worse is I cannot find this page element [for Blogger] anywhere except this one Spanish site. {sigh}

I will not be beaten Blogger! You can try, but in the end I will prevail! {insert mad scientist laugh here}
