Olay Total Effects Body Wash

Thanks to Olay and MyBlogSpark for sending me this full size Olay Total Effects Body Wash [and scrubby] to try.

First, I must admit fully that I am a Dove girl. Yet, this past year I have been trying different types of body wash. When money is tight, brand loyalty has to take a backseat to cost effective.

Here is what Olay says their product will deliver:

1. Improves elasticity
2. Relieves dryness
3. Deeply conditions skin
4. Brightens dull skin
5. Evens skin tone
6. Smoothes rough skin
7. Minimizes the appearance of dry lines

Soft smooth skin in 1 shower, improved elasticity in 1 week, and young-looking, radiant skin in 1 month.

The Review

The Olay Total Effects Body Wash has a nice creamy rich texture. A little goes a long way. A major plus in my budget-minded lifestyle. The color is very much the same as the bottle and it lathers up real nice.

The scent is a bit strong when it is first applied, but calms down by the time you are ready to towel off. This means you can use your favorite lotion, body mist, or perfume and not worry about clashing scents.

No filmy residue. This is a must for me. The number reason I switched from bar soap to body wash was the sticky, filmy residue left behind by most soaps. Olay Total Effects did not disappoint here.

A few weeks ago Amanda [or was it Megan] pointed out that I was getting old lady hands. Seriously?! While I can’t say my hands are as smooth and youthful looking as when I was in my twenties, I can say I am noticing a difference in their look. This is important. We can hide our age in so many ways, but our eyes and our hands always give us away. Well, maybe Olay has found a way to help us hide our age from our hands.

I haven’t noticed a profound difference in the way my skin tone, dryness, or conditioning looks and feels, but that could just be me.

Overall, I would buy Olay Total Effects Body Wash [on sale and with a coupon ] in the future. And if I find after a month my hands do look like the hands of my twenty-something year old self, well, I may even pay full price.
