I experimented today…
And was quite pleased with the results.
Now, if you ask my family they will disagree. I really don’t want to tell you what Amanda said this looked like. Then there was the face my husband made. My son just said – I taste mangoes. But I liked it.
Introducing Mocafe Matcha Green Tea
As part of a recipe contest, 5 Minutes for Mom gave away 100 samples of Matcha Green Tea to interested bloggers. (They are all out of samples, but you can purchase Mocafe Matcha Green Tea on Amazon.com and still enter their giveaway to win a Blendtec Blender and Twister Jar – deadline is July 16.)
Fructose, Non-dairy Creamer (Coconut Oil, Corn Syrup Solids, Sodium Caseinate (A Milk Derivative) and or Non-fat Milk, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sugar, Mono and Diglycerides, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Tricalcium Phosphate (Natural Anti—caking Agent), Lecithin, Artificial Flavor), Non Fat Dry Milk, Shade Grown Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Salt.
Mocafe Matcha Green Tea is a less costly way to get your blended tea latte fix. Just add 6 oz of milk, 12 oz of ice, and the Matcha Green Tea powder. Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes one 16 oz serving.
Since I don’t have ice…
Our ice maker broke some time ago and there is no room in our freezers for an entire bag of ice, so I got a bit creative. Here is my recipe.
- 1 packet of Mocafe Matcha Green Tea powder
- 6 oz whole milk
- 10 oz package of frozen mango chunks
I used my Oster Hand Blender instead of a traditional blender and it worked just fine. I ended up taking some of the frozen mango out, blended some of the mixture, then adding the remaining mango back in.
I topped it with some whipped cream! Yum!
I think my next experiment will involve some frozen strawberries and bananas…
