I like to use Google Alerts. I compose a set of search terms with Bolean modifiers (AND, OR, NOT, etc.), then direct Alerts to send the results to my Google Reader as opposed to the other choice, which is my e-mail address.

@asceta, When I follow the instructions above I cannot replicate your issue, but when I add a clip I only get the top 5 links. Make sure you are clicking on add a blogroll to your site. Another issue may be not having all of the sites you want in the folder you are adding as a blogroll.

Your idea is just a piece of genius, although I’ve got one problem.

When I’m making a script in Google Reader I see only 5 top links, with a bottom link ‘see more‘ (“Wyświetl wszystko” in Polish).

What should I do to get a full list of links instead of 5 links + ‘see more’?

@Texasholly, Right now I don't have a traditional blogroll, but do have some pages earmarking sites I like. I am using this for my P50 Allied Bloggers list located under my Blogroll page. The other pages were already established, some with buttons, so I left them as is. In time I may change this as I have other great sites I visit that are not currently listed on those other blogroll pages. I am really glad you found this useful. I do think it's a great way to keep track of sites and make changes easily and more efficiently than traditional blogrolls. .-= Anne Bender´s last blog ..Read the Fine Print =-.

Thanks so much for this information. I searched everywhere for a way to do this easily and after installing 3 different WP plugins that didn’t seem to pull things from my reader I did this.

I notice you aren’t using it, did you find it not as helpful as you originally thought?

@Rob Sellen, It’s funny, but I created one blogroll using this and find myself using WP’s blogroll widget for those in my sidebar. That could be because I have such a mix over there of my “must reads” while I like to group my feeds by type. Still useful information.

That’s a great idea, not thought about doing it myself, may change my mind on that!

A good way to give exposure to your favourite feeds and help them grow their own blog.
