Thank you. I’m over here in southwestern Virginia way up in the Blue Ridge. Plenty of snow to go around and it looks like we’re in for a bit of a heat wave soon: high 40′s.

@Heather Kephart, The smiley face is really funny since it was just outside of where the canopy collapsed on my john boat. Kind of like a nervous ‘oops’.

I love the schoolhouse. It needs to be raised and a new foundation put in. I won’t go inside anymore since it could collapse. Right now it has 4 rooms. It looks like it originally had 3, two classrooms and a cloakroom. One day I hope to restore it and make it a library and personal sanctuary.

@Ching Ya, That's a great idea Ching. I'll be sure to take a walk through the property and get some seasonal shots throughout the year. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good garden shots as well.
I almost passed on the smiley, then decided I just could not resist it. As if it were a really good omen.

@Allyn, Hi Allyn. It was the property that drew us to this place. The house is old and a bit small [our garage is almost as big as our house], but the lay of the land is so great. We have lots of trees, an old schoolhouse [our neighbors actually went to school there], a stream [with a natural spring] and an old road running from one end to the other.
Everyone here is tired of winter, but we should enjoy it while we have it. We don't get snow like this every year.

I was pausing at the ‘smiley face’ for a while trying to figure out which are the eyes.. lol.. got it 10 seconds later. I love the pic of the swing — have been wanting to do that since I was little! Sadly, no snow where I live.

I was told by a friend in Philly the snowy condition is quite serious there as well. Hope can see some Virginia spring pictures soon. It’ll be awesome to experience 4 seasons through Anneonlife. ^^

Hey Anne, really nice pics! It almost makes winter seem “nice” LOL
My favorite pic there is the trees one with the swing being a close second.
Here in NW Indiana, we get a fair dumping every year as well.
But when I look at snow sliding off the roof, all I can think of is “I hope that doesn’t melt and wick up into my roof sheathing” ROFL.
