You are right…they gave their life for our life with freedom…Even now we can’t sit in a single place can’t silent without mobile or other facility…but those days they had been lived for a long period as like the punishment…just imagine…no chance now with these fastest generation…but they achieved….we..???????????????????????

@Sire, In California some time back they voted out their governor. Of course they are bankrupt and are trying to figure out how to save themselves, but at least they know they have a voice and used it.

I’m not that into American politics either. I just get so tired of constantly hearing the republicans blame the democrats and the democrats blame the republicans when it’s neither is any better. Like little children, I swear!

@Mitch, Congress can't be trusted. They work for themselves. Give themselves a pay raise each year [even recently] while many go without a job let alone a raise.
And you are right about Dr. King ~ and the women who made it possible for me to have a voice today. I am grateful there were those willing to take the risks that others were not so that we may have it a little better than they did. Kind of like parents with their children, always wanting something better for them without having to bust their butts as hard.

@Jannie Funster, It’s a shame that it may never happen. If anyone gains anyone’s confidence enough to get them to do anything, then they will be discredited in some manner. Not that I believe overthrowing is the answer, but voting in some new people or making some changes to bring the power back to the people in a way that they know they have it.

I do agree, let the private sector do its thing. It all does work out in the wash, unless someone pours in a ton of bleach.

I'm not into American politics but I like the fact that people should be able to vote out a government who isn't doing what the people want. We were even able to do it to one of ours before they even completed their full term. Interesting take on things, I must say. I'm fairly liberal, but not ultra, and thus I'm not registered with any party. I voted for Obama, but I was a Clinton fan. I think Al Gore lost the election because he wasn't smart enough to realize he should have used the support of the only president to leave office with more than a 60% approval rating; the moron. I think that whether I agree with the politics of everyone or not most of the men who have been president have been fairly nice people since Richard Nixon was in office, and he's the reason the rest of us are so cynical about the Presidency, and possibly why we don't trust Congress, since he kept telling everyone they couldn't be trusted. I fully agree that everyone needs to be proactive, or shut up and go away. If you don't participate in the process, you have no right to complain about anything. Forefathers died for the rights of most of the people in America today. Dr. King died for my rights in America today. Susan B. Anthony & Elizabeth Cady Stanton didn't have to die, but they certainly put up with a lot of mess to get women the right to vote. Wow, them's pretty heavy yet comforting words about The People being able to overthrow and abolish an ineffectual government. Still, I wonder who -- and when they decide that, and when it can be acted upon? (Being Canadian born and raised I am not so up on the U.S. as I could and perhaps will be.) I feel conservatism in economics is and has always been sensible. Let the private sector do its thing and all wrinkles will iron out.
