Snowy Chickens and a Simple Christmas Tree

So, here we are in the path of the snow storm. Can I just say ~ YAY! The pictures above were from the very onset of the snowfall. We got somewhere between 10 to 12 inches of snow and broke out the sleds today. Ivy dog had an absolute blast running all around. The chickens stayed in their coop, but Dwayne bought lots of feed and filled their feeder. I took a count of them this morning and all were accounted for.

I shot a 3 minute video today using Megan’s FLIP camera. Then I put the camera up and hit the hill! The going down is so much fun, but that hike back up the hill is one crazy workout. Dwayne says we need to invest in a ski lift. :) Okay, maybe not, but it is a trek to say the least.

Tomorrow will be more sledding and maybe even an attempt at a snowman. I’ll be sure to post more pictures, too.

@Extreme John, The big rooster shook the snow off of himself before I could get a better shot of him. Now they’re holding up in their coop. But the dog is having a lot of fun in the snow. :)

The snow storm hasn’t hit here yet. I’m hoping it misses us. Wishful thinking I know. The sledding looks fun. Love the video.
