This week’s topic:
6 stores at which you wish you could
register for Christmas presents for yourself
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve participated, but this list will be short and sweet.
- The Container Store [just a little organizational help is all I need]
- Barnes & Noble [or Books-A-Million or Borders, well, you get the picture]
- Apple [they even made a commercial about me - it's the second one]
- Sears [they have some great clothes, but I refuse to pay that much - yeah, I'm old ~ and cheap]
- Ethan Allen [I need some bookcases for all those books]
- Amazon [because they have EVERYTHING]
I originally thought Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, but I get so much free stuff from those stores that I don’t need to register.

Great list! I would love to go a little crazy in any of those stores!

@Staci A, If I had to narrow it down to just one it would be Amazon hands down. Now to find a job or win the lottery, the go shopping!

@Shan @ Last Shreds Of Sanity, Maybe you’ll catch the commercial on tv [the old fashioned way]. It’s the one with the girl & her box which says ‘Anne’s Stuff’.
I’m up to just over 25,000 words [halfway there] and hope to hit 30,000 by the end of the weekend. I really hope to reach 50,000 before Thanksgiving, then hand-write anything else that comes to mine while I am out of town. Thanks for asking.

@Harriet, We could use more than just bookshelves, too. Our couch and recliner have definitely seen better days.

You got to love Mac’s commercials. You almost had me going there for a sec to Anne, I actually thought that was you, and then I read the box.
As to the stores, I reckon maybe Amazon for me.

@Sire,
That’s funny!
I sent that to my daughter, Megan so she would know I was supposed to be a Mac, too. There is an earlier commercial where Mac says, ‘I’m a Mac’ and the girl says “I’m a Megan”. ~ When my second daughter, Amanda, was born Megan was 1 1/2. When introduced her Megan said “That’s a Manda and I’m a Megan”.

Ethan Allen would be nice! I love their furniture.

@Rose ~ RedNeckWitch, I tried to use a $10 off internet coupon there and it was rejected. {sigh} But I do keep my eyes peeled. They have some great non-frumpy suits I would love to get my hands on. Guess I should find a job so I have a reason for them first.

OOh, I love those stores! Barnes and Noble is my favorite. I could actually live there and not get bored. I’ve never been to The Container Store, but it sounds heavenly! I’m a bit of an organizational nut these days. You have to be when you become a Mom.

@Heather Kephart, Truth be told, I’ve never been to The Container Store, but I’ve seen pictures. I bet one could get lost in there for days and need a few more rooms just to get better organized!

Great list. Wish we had those stores up here in the mountains.
We do have the large chainstores like Gucci, Prada and Frette, unfortunately, that is not where I’ll be shopping.
Followed you over here from Heather’s site.
I too wear my hair like that most of the time and need to stop. The good news is that when I do take the time to blow straight my incredibly wild hair, I get lots and lots of compliments. Would that happen if I wore it like that every day? I don’t think so.

@Jillian, Hi Jillian!
We don’t have an Apple or Container Store here, but I wish we did. For now I just do my Apple shopping online. I’m not sure about Ethan Allen. Nor do we have Gucci, Prada, and I’ve never heard of Frette.
I’m up in the mountains, too ~ over on the east coast.
And I have some wild hair. Right now it’s down to the middle of my back which helps to weigh it down and keeps it from driving me completely batty.
I’ve officially stopped wearing my hair in the messy ponytail. That picture reminded me of the time my husband took a picture of my butt in a pair of jeans so I could see what everyone else sees. {shudders}
