There is a little singing and a little dancing going on in my head write now [yes, I really wrote write, when I obviously meant right]. There is a bit of ladidadida and tralalalala flying between bouts of writing and coffee swilling and Dr. Oz watching. Oh, yeah you heard me correctly!!! Dr. Oz is the bomb!
Okay, this post is being interrupted by a random text message sent from Amanda [no school today since it is Election Day and she is at the movies watching Saw 6]. Yeah, I know she’s only 16, but she thinks horror movies are cool. Not me. I saw Nightmare on Elm Street when I was 14 and had nightmares for 6 months. I went on to see all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and had many, many dreams of Freddy coming after me. Usually he was someone I knew who would turn into Freddy. {shudders} It was not fun. Anywho, I distracted my own post and my own interruption!!! Wow! That can’t be normal. LOL
Amanda: Holy Omg that movie is intense cant take it anymore
ME: Lol
Amanda: Its not funny
ME: Sorry [laughing while I type, of course]
Amanda: Lolz its ok
Guess she found her Freddy. Lol Hey, I am not one of those overprotective parents, okay? She needs to find these things out on her own. I already know I don’t like scary movies. Besides, those Saw movies scare me just from the commercials.
Now back to my original post ramblings. I am really enjoying this NaNoWriMo thing. It is just what the writing faerie ordered! So far I am at 5,371 words [5,001 is recommended by the end of day 3] and I am not done writing for the day. My goal for today is 6,253, or 2,000 more than yesterday’s final word count. So, I am taking a few mini-breaks. I check out a few blogs, leave some comments, write a post full of gibberishness [poetic license]. I love this writing stuff!
Random thought:
Is it just me or is the I-Hop commercial with the two nutcrackers just that funny? I laugh every time I see it.
Want to follow my progress?
I will be updating more thoroughly over on my writing blog. This keeps me accountable! And if you want to be my writing buddy that would be *awesomely-wonderful-terrific*!

OMG! You’re more ADD than I am! LOL!
I’m so sorry about your Freddy situation. I wonder why you had all those nightmares? I wonder if you were equating him with your shadow? Death in dreams is not always death, often times it is change. But then you could just be scared to death of him, he is really, really, ubercreepy.
You’re way ahead of me on the writing. I’m thinking of switching back over to first person. I know, I know, I ‘ve been harping about how I don’t like writing in third person and boring my friends to tears with it. But the shoe just doesn’t fit! Sigh.
GOOD FOR YOU for making such great progress! WOW!

I love horror movies. Actually I will watch almost anything, but I LOVE horror movies.
My daughter kind of likes them as well, which is weird because she hates the site of blood. I remember one day when she was little, and she was have a great time outside, laughing and carrying on, until she noticed her toes was bleeding. Man, could she scream

I’m really loving this too, it’s my first one and it’s giving me the deadline and discipline I have long craved! It’s bloody hard work, though.
I find getting sat in front of the computer to write is the hardest point in my day. There’s always something else to do. I laugh at how I make excuses not to get doing, how I wait until I know I’m running out of time in the day, before I set to and fire the starting gun.
Writers are strange. But I wouldn’t want to be anything else.

I couldn’t agree more! In fact, I think I’ve gotten stranger the more I write. And then I wonder why I waited so long to get down to the writing. I get to explore all of those thoughts running through my head and give them an outlet to roam and play.
I waited until 9 pm last night and managed to crank out 3,500+ words. I found they came quite easily although most of it was an internal dialogue. Guess that is what I know best.
