Head on over to The New Frugal Mom and check out Marianne’s weekly deals and link up your great finds on Tuesday for Let’s Go Krogering!
I have been dragging my feet in getting to the stores lately. Last week I didn’t get over to CVS until Friday. Friday! What is up with that? This meant I missed the freebie Vaseline lotion, but I really don’t need any more lotion anyway. I did want to take advantage of the Coke/Monsters vs. Aliens deal, though. I redeemed some mycokerewards points for two free 12-packs of Coke, but these are no longer downloads and it appears mine are in process still. I am not sure how I feel about this. So, after waiting all week with no arrival of my coupons I decided I would bite the bullet and use up some ECBs. This turned out okay, since I have Megan’s from when I visited her last and some were getting set to expire.
But I have gotten off track here. I did manage to get to CVS today, but that was due to a $5 off $25 coupon that was expiring. I hate when I let these lapse. I messed up my transaction and will need to return later in the week, but I still did okay.
Now, Kroger was another story. This was the first time I needed to get a filler, not once, but twice! I was a bit stunned, too.

The Pillsbury catalina did not print for either transaction so I had to go over to customer service. Of course, it was not until I returned home that I realized I told them the incorrect amount for the catalina. But, I never received my catalina for Pillsbury biscuits bought earlier in this deal, so it ended up a wash. Otherwise, I would go back and have this corrected. I ended up with a $6.00 gift card bringing my total to a profit of $1.17 (including tax paid).
