Krogering – Part Deux

KrogerThank goodness Megan showed up or I would not have been able to do all three transactions during one visit.  I did not want to hold anyone up and we did the self-checkout thing.  Crazy, right?  A couple of my coupons were missed, but some of my free coupons rang up higher than expected.  I will take it as a wash, in my favor.  These things happen.

I love being organized. I save so much more, my trip takes less time, and I feel better about it afterward. Today I actually made a spreadsheet to calculate how many items I needed, what coupons I had, and which transaction was which. And I paperclipped my coupons in three separate sections. Not every day I do that, let me tell you! Oh, and it was not my intention to hog all my Catalinas for my next visit. Megan took them and put them away before I could use them.

No shelves were cleared due to my excessive stockpiling of granola bars and fruit snacks.

I would like to comment on the e-coupon usage.  I am sure it is just me, but when I know a rule I feel obligated to abide by said rule.  Yet, this is a rule of which I am unsure.  The Cellfire site does state the use of e-coupons should not be combined with paper coupons; it does not say they cannot be combined.  Is this just semantics?   Now, I do not always know what e-coupons I have or if they will work.  So, to me e-coupons are a nice little bonus.

I am in TX and Love Krogers. I am fairly new to being a “coupon” person, but I am getting into it full force, w/help from you and other bloggers. I have got alot of good ideas from your blog and will continue to read it for more ideas.

    Thanks

There are some great blogs showing the ins and outs of couponing. I am a beginner myself and have found organization is key. I do so much better when I have everything planned out and my coupons in order. I cannot believe I used to think shopping Walmart was the way to save on groceries and beauty products. Now I hardly ever shop there. I purchase almost everything at Kroger and CVS.
