Tax Free Shopping in VA 8/7 – 8/9

It is here!  Today starts the tax free holiday for those of us in Virginia.

Qualifying purchases include:

  • qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item
  • qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item

Many states eliminated this program this year due to budget shortfalls, so we are truly fortunate.  Break out those $10 off $10 JCPenney coupons (shop August 9th from 11 am – 8 pm and save an additional 20%), head on over to Staples for the best deals starting August 9th or for the deals going on this week, and Kohls is offering 15% – 20% off.  The stores are gearing up for school and, if you live in Virginia, this is the best time to go shopping.

One more thing.  Before you shop JCPenney be sure to sign up for JCP Rewards and earn rewards for shopping.  It is free and works with any credit card.  Now go forth and save!
