Today was chicken moving day. DH’s family came over to help us with all the yard work here and to prepare for the moving of the chickens. They grow big so fast. They had outgrown their homemade chicken run and were started to really stink up the garage. We spent a good part of the day painting the outside of the chicken coop red with white trim. The kids thought I cut myself as I was covered in red paint spatter. I will take some pictures and add them when I get some time.
Now I have to finish up some school work and turn in early tonight. Tomorrow morning I leave for my parent’s. They are near Gainesville, FL. My mom is having surgery Monday and is expected home on Tuesday. I am going to help out where needed and for moral support. My mom is not one for doctors or hospitals and I think this is her first surgery, ever. She is a bit worried, but the doctors are optimistic. Everything will be fine.
While I am there I am going to see what kind of deals can be found at her local grocer. It is a smaller store. They have Publix in Gainesville and I miss their black cherry soda. I plan to pick some up to bring back for me and the kids. Maybe I will get lucky and get some yummy onion pocket rolls, too.
