(sung to the movie advertisement – “let’s all go to the lobby” – if you are old like me, then you will get this)
I had to pick up a corned beef (always too expensive) and small birthday cake (thought this was marked $10.99, but to my surprise was marked $18.99 – OUCH!). I did not realize my mistake with the cake until I was home or I would have purchased something different. Not pictured – corned beef, milk, birthday cake, 1 bag of Doritos, 1 bag of Combos.
1 Corned Beef $2.99 lb. – $9.33
1 Gal. Milk – $2.99
1 Carvel Ice Cream Cake – $18.99

When I remove the corned beef and birthday cake it is a 48% savings. Good thing we do not buy these things all the time. Want to see more Kroger deals for the week? Go check out Let’s Go Krogering! @ The New Frugal Mom and see how others are saving.

It is so nice to see someone else like me who buys food for a real family and detail it! Most blogs show people buying some crazy amounts of snacks and boasting how much they saved. I could save a large percentage too if I wasn’t buying “real” food. I also like the your format for pricing, coupons, and final cost!

Thank you Cassie. I was thinking my savings were not that great in comparison to the others and almost didn’t participate in the Let’s Go Krogering meme this week. But I found some good deals and wanted to share anyway. =)
