I was reading one of the new (to me) blogs I have come across in my surfing and learning and read about this great program where we (you and me) can support a cause just by sending email. Simple, right? Well, I am inviting everyone to read the entire post at The Succulent Wife (see below for a link). I have joined under my yahoo and gmail accounts. Hey, I want to help in any way I possibly can.
I found this fascinating quote today:
What a brilliant win-win-win idea. Anyone with a Gmail or Yahoo account (the only participants thus far) can add a banner to their email signature to support a global cause. This is absolutely free to the user and is as easy as joining ReplyforAll and then downloading the plugin, though one must be using Firefox (and if you’re still using IE, you just need to switch anyhow. IE is just so… passé). Once the cause is picked out (Cure for Cancer, Stop AIDS, Children’s Rights, Animal Rights, Education, etc…), the email signature banner displaying that cause appears with every message, disseminating funds as supplied by the sponsors who’s names also appear in the banner. The Succulent Wife’s Favorite Things, Feb 2009
